I‘m not a big fan of vulgarity, but “batsh*t crazy” is the only way to describe Trump’s NSC advisor Rich Higgins. Think I’m exaggerating? Just read the memo, obtained by Foreign Policy magazine. The whole thing … if you can. It’s so crazy it’s hard to follow the logic, but even worse is that this guy is expressing what a shocking number of right-wing conspiracy theorists believe. And even worse than that? Trump loved this memo, and was furious when he found out that General Kelly fired Rich Higgins and his cronies. It’s frightening.

Just a few gems from Higgins’ rant to give you the flavor:

  • The ACLU, Marxists, Islamist, Democratic party, LGBT community, Muslim Brotherhood, United Nations, the liberal media, and many others have joined together! They are working “seamlessly” to take down Donald Trump, conducting “political warfare at an unprecedented level” to ruin Trump and effect “cultural Marxist outcomes.”
  • The Republican leadership is so afraid of being called “racist, sexist, homophobe,or Islamophobe” that they accept and enforce “cultural Marxist memes.” Republican leadership has become a Marxist agent.
  • Anyone who criticizes hate speech is fostering “non-random, coordinated … Marxist memes.” Key perpetrators of this include the European Union, the UN, the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe), the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation), and the Muslim Brotherhood.

And that’s just a sample from this seven-page rant. Here is one more paragraph that illustrates the utter craziness of the author:

“[T]he benefactors of these political movements include; [sic] Urban Real Estate who depend greatly on immigrant tenants, International Banking who seeks to maintain US debtor status so as to control the application of American power, and elements of the business sector that depend upon immigrant labor or government infrastructure. The overall objective of these economic forces is the forced urbanization of the populace, thereby necessitating a larger, more powerful government. In summary, this is a form of population control by certain business cartels in league with cultural Marxist/corporatists/Islamists who will leverage Islamic terrorism threats to justify the creation of a police state.”

This isn’t some nut-job conservative talk-show host out for ratings. Higgins was a top strategy advisor in Trump’s National Security Council (“Our Mission is Safety”). These are the people who propelled Trump into the White House, and these same people are hiding behind the smokescreen of Trump’s buffoonery as they dismantle a hundred years of social progress.

Foreign Policy magazine, which obtained the memo and broke this story, tried to report it using neutral language, saying it, “… provides a sweeping, if at times conspiratorial, view of what it describes as a multi-pronged attack on the Trump White House.” That’s like saying, “Gosh, Mrs. Lincoln, the play had a few rough moments, didn’t it?”
